Questions families ask
Frequently asked questions
Will my insurance pay for this?
Maybe. Many homeowner's and renter's policies include Additional Living Expenses (ALE) / Loss of Use coverage that can pay for temporary housing after a covered loss. We don't promise it will be covered — we help you find out, and we work with your adjuster to request approval. [CONFIRM — owner: review wording with a licensed advisor.]
How fast can we move in?
It depends on what's available and how quickly your adjuster approves the placement. In some cases we can move a family in quickly; in others it takes a little longer to match the right home. We'll talk with you about timing right away. [CONFIRM — owner: add real response-time expectations.]
Can we bring pets?
Often, yes. Many of our houses are pet-friendly. Tell us about your pets and we'll do our best to match a home that welcomes them.
How long can we stay?
Stays are flexible and matched to your repair timeline. You don't have to guess the end date up front. If repairs take longer than expected, we can usually extend — just let us know early so we can coordinate.
What if my stay gets extended?
Let us know as soon as you learn the timeline is changing. We'll work with your adjuster on the extension and do our best to keep you in the same home. [CONFIRM — owner: confirm extension process.]
What does it cost me out of pocket?
It depends on your policy and what your adjuster approves. If ALE / Loss of Use applies, your insurance may cover the housing cost. We'll help you understand what to expect. [CONFIRM — owner: review.]
Do you serve my area?
We're based in Berks County and serve the surrounding region. Tell us your city or ZIP and we'll confirm whether we can help. Berks County and the surrounding counties, Pennsylvania. [CONFIRM — owner: list served counties.]
